Be Your Best Self! Live Your Best Life!

.Explore, Dream, Discover

Dear God

A little boy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened.
Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100. When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, USA, they decided to send it to President Bush.

The President was so impressed, touched, and amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.
President Bush thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.
The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 and sat down to write a thank you note to God, which read:

Dear God,

Thank you very much for sending the money, however, I noticed that for some reason you had to send it through Washington D.C. and, as usual, those crooks deducted $95.00.

The Elephant Rope

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.

14 Bishop David Oyedepo’s Quotes that Will Motivate Your Mind, Soul & Body

Bishop (Dr) David O. Oyedepo is a Nigerian Christian author, preacher and the founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church World Wide, also known as Winners Chapel, with headquarters in Ogun State, Nigeria.

He is also an academician per excellence. He is the Vice Chancellor of Covenant University as Well as Landmark University, and a host of other schools and colleges.

A very striking characteristic of this clergy man is his deep insights, wisdom and tongue-twisting way of presenting ideas. Below are a few of his quotes I so cherish. Go over each one meditatively and don forget to share.
